Robinwyn Lewis has been painting seriously since the early 1990s. After first studying with watercolorist David Daniels, Ms. Lewis explored a number of other media before discovering oils. In the process, she took classes at the Maryland School of Art and Design, the Studio School in Washington, D.C., the Yellow Barn Studio in Glen Echo Park Maryland, and Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland. Although she has since added acrylics to her arsenal, Robinwyn prefers oils. “I seem to have to discover my paintings through the painting process,” she says. “Oils allow me to do this, and I love the quality of the paint and the depth it gives to my works.”
The following pages include the range of her work, including landscapes, people and still lives. Robinwyn also does commission work, including portraits and HomePortraits, paintings of people’s homes. For further information, please contact her by email.
